Al Japó existeix un art centenari anomenat Kintsugi. Quan una peça de ceràmica es romp, la reparen amb resina i pols d’or. Així, es converteix en un objecte únic, dotat d’una nova estètica i un nou valor. Gràcies a aquest procés de separació i transformació, les cicatrius es transmuten en bellesa. Els éssers humans actuem a la inversa: molt sovint, per no patir, evitem mostrar les nostres cicatrius amagant-nos rere una cuirassa. Aquest espectacle, com els mestres Kintsukuroi saben, ens convida a abraçar les nostres ferides i sofriments per tal d’acceptar-los i embellir-los.

In Japan there is a centuries-old art called Kintsugi. When a piece of ceramic breaks, it is repaired with resin and gold powder. Thus, it becomes a unique object, endowed with a new aesthetic and a new value. Thanks to this process of separation and transformation, scars are transmuted into beauty. Human beings do the opposite: very often, in order not to suffer, we avoid showing our scars by hiding them behind a front. This show, as the Kintsukuroi know, invites us to embrace our wounds and sufferings in order to accept and beautify them.
